CliniSys will replace the seven IT systems used by Northern Ireland’s hospital trusts’ pathology disciplines and the Northern Ireland Blood Transfusion service with a single instance of WinPath Enterprise.
WinPath Enterprise will be deployed to five trusts, the blood transfusion service and GLIMS Genomics to the national genetics service in Belfast
This significant investment will underpin the modernisation and reform of pathology services in Northern Ireland and enable future innovation.
In 2019, CliniSys | MIPS launched its Genetics LIS, with a successful phase of development and deployment in Europe. Now, it has launched a clinical counterpart to the system. Stéphane Decap and Emma Huntridge outline the benefits of GLIMS Genetics Counselling to clinicians, laboratories, patients and their families.
Innovative trust will deploy WinPath Enterprise as a hosted solution and use the implementation to create clinical pathways in which diagnostics play a full role in safe and efficient patient management
CliniSys will once again be supporting the British Blood Transfusion Society and will be sponsoring this year's virtual event from the 13th - 15th September.
Kim Futrell, MT(ASCP), MSHI Get more benefits from your point-of-care testing (POCT) program The advantage of quick test results to enable faster clinical decisions is one of the major reasons to implement point-of-care testing (POCT). At a time when hospitals and laboratories are under intense pressure, the benefits of patients accessing tests outside the traditional […]

The move will future-proof capacity at the dedicated SARS-CoV-2 RNA testing facility and is already improving turnaround times.
We explain how regional diagnostics hubs that give clinicians access to test results of all kinds, no matter where they are carried out, could help the NHS to address some of the big challenges facing it – while improving services for patients.
Molecular, Point-of-Care Abstract Point-of-care testing (POCT) technology continues to advance at a fast pace, making it easier to shrink complex testing platforms into point-of-care (POC) devices. By testing at a molecular level, the accuracy of the results far surpasses previous POCT methodologies. Molecular POCT devices allow quick, easy-to-use testing in near-patient scenarios where a rapid […]
As part of the pandemic management in France, detecting and tracing Covid-19 cases is critical for a successful recovery from the crisis and the protection of the French people. This is the purpose of the national SI-DEP (Système d’Informations de DEPistage) project implemented by the French Ministry of Health and Solidarity, which selected and commissioned CliniSys | MIPS, in partnership with the AP-HP hospital group, for this task. The CyberLab electronic order entry and result consultation system is at the heart of SI-DEP’s IT platform.
