Innovative User Acceptance Testing Service Saves Resources, Enables Deep and Thorough UAT and Prevents Delays for the West Yorkshire and Harrogate LIMS Project.

This case study provides an overview of how the successful deployment of WinPath Enterprise has aided in the realisation of Lord Carters vision for network pathology service at BCPS.

Following the NHS’s drive to consolidate pathology services into efficient regional hub and spoke networks, CliniSys needed a hosting partner they could trust implicitly. Moving to Telefónica Tech’s secure managed hosting, delivered the resilience, scalability, and security demanded by the NHS and essential for CliniSys to successfully run 10 of the newly formed networks.

As part of the pandemic management in France, detecting and tracing Covid-19 cases is critical for a successful recovery from the crisis and the protection of the French people. This is the purpose of the national SI-DEP (Système d’Informations de DEPistage) project implemented by the French Ministry of Health and Solidarity, which selected and commissioned CliniSys | MIPS, in partnership with the AP-HP hospital group, for this task. University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust is leading a programme to create a single order communications and results reporting system for its staff and local GPs and to share results with its merger partner, Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust.

The aim of this consolidated service was to deliver an efficient, effective and sustainable pathology service in alignment with the pathology consolidation proposals of NHSI. The network has adopted a “hub and spoke” model which in addition to delivering the costs savings outlined in the NHSI proposals has also established Black Country Pathology Services as a showcase and exemplar network

ICE is used in all clinical areas within Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as well as several additional facilities and GP practices. ICE is integrated with a number of clinical systems in order to streamline the clinical workflow and make information readily available to caregivers in one central system.

Severn Pathology set out to establish a system that would increase standardisation, enable efficient, low-risk collaboration and be fully in line with the Sustainability and Transformation Programme, and latterly the NHSI drive to pathology networking. This meant implementing a single LIMS to support multi-site requirements and enable multiple incumbent IT systems to share information.

Barts Health NHS Trust had a mixed estate of LIMS across its sites. The Trust identified that management of multiple systems and hardware platforms was far from optimal, and the migration to a single platform across all sites would improve efficiency and workflow, and would enable all sites to benefit from enhanced WinPath Enterprise functionality.
