Pathology network sees go-live for its new laboratory information system and becomes the first in the country to use the cloud-based Specimen Processing module.
One Dorset Pathology’s domain experts will now support a wider LIMS roll-out to six neighbouring trusts in the south of England
In 2019, CliniSys | MIPS launched its Genetics LIS, with a successful phase of development and deployment in Europe. Now, it has launched a clinical counterpart to the system. Stéphane Decap and Emma Huntridge outline the benefits of GLIMS Genetics Counselling to clinicians, laboratories, patients and their families.
Last year, CliniSys brought its genomics LIMS to the UK, following a successful phase of development and deployment on the continent. Now, it has launched a clinical counterpart to the system. Stéphane Decap and Emma Huntridge outline the benefits of GLIMS Genomics Clinical to clinicians, laboratories, patients and their families
GLIMS Genetics has been designed by MIPS to combine the power of a mature laboratory information system (LIS) for ‘traditional’ specialties with the specific needs of genetics, including those linked to more recent technologies such as Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS). The solution has already been successfully implemented in France’s university hospital of Poitiers, and will next be deployed in nine more genetics units in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Switzerland.
New identity for CliniSys and MIPS is launched with refreshed logo and updated website

The Integrated Clinical Environment, or ICE, is used in seven out of the 14 health boards in Scotland for order communications and results reporting. Imagine if it was used across Scotland, as a single point of information about tests of all kinds… At a recent webinar, CliniSys outlined the art of the possible. “Today,” said […]
CliniSys has brought GLIMS Genomics to the UK. In a launch webinar, experts explained how the new laboratory information system built for genomics labs can put them in charge of their IT, drive standardisation, and deliver reports that clinicians can use as they move into the exciting world of precision medicine. And Dr Fabienne Dufernez explained how these benefits are already being delivered in Poitiers University Hospital.
An incremental LIMS consolidation programme to implement a single networked WinPath Enterprise across all sites and laboratories.
Barts Health NHS Trust had a mixed estate of LIMS across its sites. The Trust identified that management of multiple systems and hardware platforms was far from optimal, and the migration to a single platform across all sites would improve efficiency and workflow, and would enable all sites to benefit from enhanced WinPath Enterprise functionality.
We consider how the tumultuous events of 2020 will impact on 2021, and how they will affect the company, the NHS, and the world of pathology for years to come.
