The aim of this consolidated service was to deliver an efficient, effective and sustainable pathology service in alignment with the pathology consolidation proposals of NHSI. The network has adopted a “hub and spoke” model which in addition to delivering the costs savings outlined in the NHSI proposals has also established Black Country Pathology Services as a showcase and exemplar network

South West London Pathology (SWLP) is replacing its Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). The new LIMS system is WinPath Enterprise. Blood Transfusion went live today at 9am at St George’s Hospital, Croydon Hospital and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital.
