Day in the life with Jay Mudbidri, Associate Quality Engineer

Meet Jay Mudbidri, Associate Quality engineer at Clinisys. Jay’s journey with Clinisys started in May 2022, as the world was recovering from the covid pandemic times. While recalling about his initial days with Clinisys, Jay can’t help but think about how pandemic impacted jobs, business, and life overall. Today he is thankful to come out of that instability in career and start a more purposeful professional journey with Clinisys. He is proud to be a part of team that always strive to solve real world challenges with technology innovation and data analytics.

How did your journey start with Clinisys?

I started my journey with Clinisys in May 2022. Prior to that, I was working in the banking domain. But I had a feeling that as a techie, my growth was limited there. Then in 2022, I was approached by Clinisys (Sunquest) team. Though initially I was a bit hesitant because healthcare was a new domain, but I was curious to know more about this industry and the role. I thought it could be a good learning opportunity. Therefore, in May 2022 I joined Clinisys and within a few months I got to work on Clinisys Laboratory Solutions (CLS) platform. Ever since, there has been immense learning.

What do you find inspiring about your day-to-day work?

I am very excited to be a part of the CLS team. It has the potential to make a difference in the laboratory industry and lab processes. In my day-to-day work, I am responsible for maintaining the quality of our laboratory solutions. As we are moving to Cloud, CLS as a core platform can be integrated across industries and it will be a pioneering change for the industry.

What is your opinion about Clinisys culture?

What I find refreshing about the organization is that everyone in our leadership team is very approachable. They are inclusive and open to the suggestions. It feels good when you put forward a suggestion and manager or senior leaders pay attention to it. My seniors are encouraging and supportive. I came from a different background, so when I started with CLS, my manager guided me throughout the process. I find that seniors in the team to be patient, and they provide solid guidance at every step of the way. The organization also allows flexibility so that once can balance and life.

I also appreciate fact that Clinisys encourage you to learn new skills. One can get all the support and resources needed from the organization if you want to upskill yourself. Over the last two years I have learned skills like C# and BDD during my tenure here. Currently I am pursuing some database skills.  These are the things that make a difference in my professional journey.
